About Pup Protection Inc
Founded by Keith James Ford, our mission is to bring veterans and individuals with disabilities together with dogs who were once abandoned, abused, and forgotten. These dogs come to us broken, scared, and unsure of people. Through patience, structure, and rehabilitation, they learn to trust again, finding forever homes and purpose.
First Steps
I Keith Ford started off first doing unarmed security work to armed security work. My next step was to do cyber security but I was blessed upon getting an opportunity to do security with dogs! It had never crossed my mind to do security work with dogs although I've loved dogs all my life. Once I got the chance to work with and train such beautiful strong creatures it instantly made me want to help the ones who aren't so fortunate, yet!
In 5 years I want to be known as the Dog Dr. I want to truly see what my vision can truly become. I’ve always had a hard time excepting death. Especially because so many of them I feel aren’t justified. It’s said that dogs can give you 3+ years added to your life, reduces stress and anxiety, help’s improve moods and health. I want to be the one who helps your grandma dementia go smoother with a service dog, I want to be the one who helps your 7 year old nephew who suffers with autism feel safer and better knowing he has a trusted companion. I want to be the one to give your 18 year old daughter a protection support dog so her first year on campus is a success!! If everything works out how I want. I’ll be able to help you adopt and stay training with your dog from a fresh pup up until 3 years old! That includes dog sitting and walks because I know it’s a joy to have a dog but a lot of work. I want to set u up for complete success because I want you to live a very long happy life!!

These dogs need your help. We are raising funds to build a kennel that can safely house up to 30 dogs and to invest in professional dog care and veterinary support. Many of the dogs we rescue arrive with serious medical and behavioral issues that require immediate attention. Every dollar helps us save another life.

I can’t recommend Pup Protection enough! My puppy is only 4 months old, and the progress he’s made in such a short amount of time has been amazing. Before training, he was super hyper and didn’t really listen, but now he’s much calmer, follows basic commands, and is learning so much every day.
What I appreciate most is that he doesn’t just train my dog—he also teaches me how to continue the training at home so my puppy stays consistent. You can tell he really cares about the dogs he works with and takes the time to understand their personalities instead of using the same approach for every dog.
